Fabrizio Chiariello has the perfect combination of business intuitiveness and social grace to be the host of the luxurious Albemarle Inn. His European charm is readily apparent upon entering the Inn. His many years in international banking and private industry assure the smooth running of the operations of the Inn. Before he decided that he wanted to “retire” as an Innkeeper, he was the CFO and head of Human Resources for AGIP USA, an international purchasing company based in New York City. He began his progressively successful career in international banking in Italy following his graduation from Universita’ degli Studi in Naples, Italy, with a degree in Law. Not showing any sign of regret at having left the hectic corporate life, Fabrizio welcomes his guests graciously to the Inn.
Rosemary Chiariello has the quiet ability to make you feel as if she were one of your oldest friends, a characteristic which all of the Inn’s guests appreciate. She brings to the Inn her artist’s eye, finely tuned during her many years in the fashion industry in New York. She’s worked with many designer firms and has developed a refined touch, which is apparent everywhere. Although her new-found career in Innkeeping encompasses many aspects, Rosemary has found her niche. She’s become an “award-winning” baker. Her apple pie won in two categories in the 1997 Apple Squeeze Festival in Lenox, Massachusetts, where the Chiariello’s had their first Inn for 15 years. One of these pies was presented to the First Lady, Hillary Clinton, during her tour of the area the following year. She’s placed second in each of two national competitions among Innkeepers, one for mint chocolate-chip biscotti, and the other for almond-date granola.
