Dancin' Around Asheville
Posted by: Kay
Hello to our Past, Present and Future Guests!
What a weekend! The breeze was blowing orange and red leaves across the street, wood-fire smoke was lurking in the air and battling the smell of fresh-brewed coffee, and people were standing in line for an hour waiting for the perfect brunch. Fire places are roaring and the idea of snuggling up in an over-sized arm chair after a long walk sounds like a picture-perfect postcard. There are some of us, however, that don’t always want to stay still! This sparked an idea!
For anyone who has ever visited Asheville, The Orange Peel located downtown is always a local favorite. The month of November is the perfect time to expand your musical interests and check out cover bands such as Cosmic Charlie/Dark Side of the Moon, Rumours – Fleetwood Mac Tribute, Irish tunes with Gaelic Storm, and alternative sounds with Jimmy Eat World. Kick off your dancing shoes and enjoy any of these fantastic upcoming shows!
Now you may be thinking, ‘Uh, dancing?’. Have no fear – the Urban Orchard Cider Co. is here! De-Rumba begins each event with a dance lesson, and it occurs on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. In one hour, you may surprise yourself with how quickly you pick up on the steps of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and more! And of course, the fun drink specials are always welcome to those who need a little dancing juice! But that’s not all! If nostalgia is preferred, on November 22nd – Urban Orchard Cider is hosting and 80’s Dance Party! From 8pm-1am, guests are welcome to dress up and dance all night to classic 80’s favorites. Maybe this is the perfect time to pull out your old Jane Fonda workout gear and hit the town!
And lastly, if you just enjoy listening and singing along to the biggest dance hits, Pack’s Tavern is hosting DJ RexxStep on November 1st and 8th – who doesn’t love to hum along with a mouthful of delicious burgers and fries! The best part? There is no cover charge to boogie in your booth!
Whatever your dancing preferences are, Asheville is bound to have something for you!
