Named for Carl Reynolds, the first owner of the residence, this corner room on the west side of the inn is filled with the afternoon sunshine through its four windows and offers a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. The room features a lovely cherry king-size bed with matching marble-topped bureau, two comfortable wing backed chairs and soft blue and gold period wallpaper. Beautiful European linens coordinate with an interesting window treatment. The antique dresser and walk-in closet provide lots of storage. The bath, decorated in coordinating wallpaper, includes a separate stall shower in addition to the clawfoot tub which is nested in a cozy nook.

Bartok's Retreat is a bright room with a view of the tree-tops and the songbirds which inspired the composer's Third Piano Concerto. The western exposure offers a lovely view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. A queen-size sleigh bed and an additional twin bed in a dormer alcove provide sleeping room for three. Other furnishings include two very comfortable upholstered chairs. The room is decorated with a lovely floral wallpaper in greens, sand, rust and deep red.

Cozy and dramatic, this corner room features a skylight. Furnishings include an antique brass and enamel queen-size bed and two comfortable rattan armchairs. The unique wallpaper is swirled in red and soft gold with a hint of plum.

This is our largest room. The beautiful carved oak queen-size half canopy bed is accompanied by a matching marble-topped dresser and bedside tables. A twin bed in a dormer alcove provides additional sleeping space. The spacious marble accented bath is dominated by a two-person whirlpool tub and European shower. The spacious sitting area, perfect for relaxing with coffee or a book, is furnished with a Queen Ann loveseat and chairs. The room is decorated with a floral and striped wallpaper in soft beige, peach and teal.
